Assunta “Ina” (Romagnoli) LaRochelle Kubly, 85, of Auburn, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Odd Fellows Home, Worcester, following a brief illness.
She leaves her beloved husband of 17 years, Victor Kubly; her three sons, Anthony, Daniel and Raymond LaRochelle; her three grandsons, Lee, Neil and Ross LaRochelle. She was predeceased by her first husband, Leon J. LaRochelle in 1969.
Ina was born in Naples, Italy daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Vessicchio) Romagnoli. Ina met Leon during World War II and then moved to Worcester following the war to become one of the first relocated “war brides” in Worcester. She retired from the former GE Telechron in Worcester, then in Ashland, retiring as a group leader. Ina loved music and always had a song to sing in either Italian or English. She shared a loved of antiques with Victor, and together they spent 35 years selling and trading them.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 28th at11 am in the Notre Dame Cemetery, (Notre Dame Section) 162 Webster Street, Worcester for family and friends.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home of Auburn is assisting the family with arrangements.
