Mary A. (McCarthy) Kaminski, 91, of Waltham, died Thursday in Green Meadow Nursing Home after a brief illness. Her husband Thomas Kaminski predeceased her.
She is survived by a son Thomas Kaminski and his wife Cheryl of Waitsfield, VT, daughters; Doreen Kaminski of Auburn, Karen Rideman and her significant other Donald Saletnik of Bedford, loving grandchildren; Colin Kaminski, Sara Pomerantz, Thomas Alachoyan, George Alachoyan, Danielle Alachoyan, Jason Rideman, and Nicole Rideman, and 8 great grandchildren, she leaves a sister Eliane O’Brien of Shrewsbury, and Robert McCarthy and Maurice McCarthy both of Auburn. She is predeceased by her siblings; Francis McCarthy, Roger McCarthy, Richard McCarthy, Arlene Cormier, Michael McCarthy, Jr, Paul McCarthy, and John (Jean) McCarthy.
She was born in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Maria (Fabre) McCarthy. She received her GED from Quinsigamond Jr. College. Mary was an outstanding waitress at Putnam & Thurston’s and the Yankee Drummer for many years. She retired from the Worcester School System at Burncoat High. In her spare time Mrs. Kaminski enjoyed playing bingo, attending craft fairs and spending time with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visiting hour from 9:30-10:30 AM Monday December 1, 2014 in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street in Auburn. Her funeral will follow with a Mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph’s Church 189 Oxford Street North in Auburn. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
