While Oxford’s 6-7 record is not impressive, this is not a team to be taken lightly. They put up a solid defense that only Jianna Baroni could penetrate on Wednesday night. Yes, she did it 4 times, but no one else could get past the Oxford keeper. Assists came from Lauren Ferris, Symantha Brothers, and Colleen Cutting. Baroni’s third goad was a solo effort.

Just over 2 minutes into the game, the Rockets were up 1-0. At 11 minutes, 2-0. The Pirates scored at 31 minutes, but Auburn regained a 2 point lead to end the half 3-1. Baroni got her fourth goal at 18 minutes into the second, and Oxford came back with one of their own at 26:00.

Goalie Sarah Fahey had 9 saves, and the Rocket offense had 22 shots on net. Oxford had 11 shots and 12 saves. The Oxford keeper is in many of our slide show images since she had numerous saves and is tough as nails.

Tomorrow night, the girls are away at Hudson. On Monday, they have a 11am start at home against Hudson, and on Wednesday, they face Millbury at home, 7:00pm
