A fire at 7 Conlin Rd., in Oxford, near the Charlton line, reduced a single family home to its foundation. Upon arrival at the scene, Oxford FD Engine 4 reported the structure was fully engulfed in flames. They immediately called a second alarm, and the Rapid Intervention Team was activated to the scene. Mutual aid was provided by several communities including Auburn, which helped establish a water supply to battle the blaze.
The location of the home made access by fire apparatus difficult, and there was no nearby water supply. Fire crews from Oxford and surrounding communities battled the fire for several hours until the fire was completely extinguished.
The home was unoccupied at the time, and there were no injuries reported among the firefighters working the scene.
