Both the boys and girls cross country teams were victorious in their races against Quaboag on Wednesday. The boys won 25-30 while the girls had a stunning 15-50 win. In all fairness, Quaboag only had 5 girls running, but if they were fast, they could have won. Unfortunately for them, their best runner finished 11th.
Brianna Allain claimed first on the 3-mile rural course with a time of 25:18. The course record for the girls is 21:24. Ava Sargent was second at 25:57; Riley Simmons third at 26:14; Stephanie Bolduc fourth at 26:42; and Victoria Simonian fifth at 27:08.
Tom Gannon placed first for the boys at 17:24. The record for the boys is 16:57. Matt Healey was third at 19:34; Colin Gallaway fourth at 20:11; Tom Gleason seventh at 31:32; and Mike Maio tenth at 22:17.
