APD to Conduct Alcohol Purchase Compliance Checks

by | Sep 12, 2014

The Auburn Police Department will be conducting underage compliance checks of all outlets that are licensed to sell alcohol within the Town of Auburn within the next three weeks.

According to Sgt. Richard Mills a minor will be sent into each Auburn outlet with only money to purchase a specific alcoholic item; no identification.  Authorities are looking for the outlets’ compliance in requesting appropriate identification from parties attempting to purchase alcohol.

Establishments that are found selling alcohol to minors face fine, license suspension, or even license revocation for multiple offenses.
