Lemonade Stand for Cancer Research
For the third year in a row, Kaitlyn Callahan organized a lemonade and cookie stand to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Shown in the photo, on the right , Kaitlyn and on the left, her friend Chloe Norwood who assisted her. The girls raised $67.38 to donate to the Relay. Both girls are students at Julia Bancroft School, Auburn
The two day relay will be held starting around 5:30 on Friday September 5th at Lemansky Park and teams will walk all night til noon on Saturday September 6th.

Jungle Hearts To Host Pig Roast Fundraiser
Jungle Hearts is a local organization that supports the villagers of Sani community in the Amazon. They are hosting a pig roast fundraiser Saturday, August 30, at the Auburn Sportsman’s Club, 50 Elm St., Auburn. This fundraiser barbecue will feature activities for kids, music, raffles, a chance to win an iPad mini, and door prizes when you bring any of the donations listed below. If you’re a vegetarian, no worries. They will have roasted vegetables and pasta options for you. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children 10-16, and free for children under 10.
