Auburn High Booster Club Looking For Volunteers

by | Sep 18, 2013

The Auburn High School Booster Club needs volunteers.  The Booster Club raises funds to supplement the high school athletics budget.  For example, the Booster Club has provided girls soccer with overnight accommodations for their game in Pittsfield, provides transportation for the field hockey team to play on Cape Cod, provides scholarships to graduating student-athletes and much more.

Over the past few years, the number of volunteers has dropped to critical levels.  Without additional manpower, the Booster Club is in very real danger of being eliminated.

With the change to the high school football schedule format, AHS plays only three home games this season.  The Booster Club would like to open the concession stand for varsity soccer and field hockey games, but currently lacks the manpower to do so.  Fall concessions are historically the Club’s single largest fund raiser, and is critical to the group’s success.

There is a meeting tonight, Wednesday September 18, at 6:30pm in the Presentation Room at the High School.  We encourage anyone with a student-athlete in Auburn High School and any other interested person to attend this meeting and get involved with Boosters.
