Football Team Takes Ice Bucket Challenge

The end of football practice looked a little odd yesterday as all the players left the field, went into the high school, and then came back carrying buckets of varying shapes and sizes.

This was all part of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, and everyone was on board from players to managers to coaches. When asked if this was a planned event, Captain Dillon Bruso said, “We got an email from Coach saying bring buckets.” He figured they were just doing more “suicide drills.” Dillon added, “We love doing team stuff like this.”

Captain Nick Thomas said, “We’ve been together since Pop Warner days, and we work as a team.” Captain Mark Wright commented, “A little fun thing after practice.”

Any way you look at it, this was a great activity for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis research. Coach Jeff Cormier said he hopes teams across the state will do similar fundraisers.
