AUBURN- Elsa (Baker) Johnson, 81, of Auburn died Saturday August 2, 2014 in the Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness.

Her husband of 35 years, Earl R. Johnson died in 1991. She leaves three daughters, Paula J. Bigelow and her husband, Skip of Webster, Kristine A. Weagle and her husband, Joel of North Oxford and Karen A. Brown and her husband, Scott Alix of Charlton; six grandsons and three step-granddaughters; three great grandsons, three great granddaughters, and two step-great granddaughters; one niece and several nephews. Elsa was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Clark and Ann Graham, a brother, Mark Baker, and a great granddaughter, Natalia Weagle.

She was born in Northbridge, daughter of the late Peter K. and Elsa (Gabrielson) Baker. Elsa was raised in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School. She worked as a secretary in the Worcester area, retiring as an Administrative Secretary for Morgan Construction Company. Elsa was a past president of the Auburn Emblem Club and a member of the Stella Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.

Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Elsa’s family on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 10-11 AM, immediately followed by a memorial service celebrating her life in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.
