The Auburn Farmers’ & Cultural Market will open its third season with a new day and time on Thursday, June 20. This season, the market will be held weekly on Thursdays from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to the Riley-Pappas Performance Pavilion in the Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex at 203A Pakachoag Street. The market season will run in conjunction with the Concert in the Park series from June 20 through August 29.

This year, the market is narrowing its scope to focus primarily on food-based products from local farms and businesses, with a variety of products including farm fresh vegetables, meat and dairy, as well as local bread, honey, and maple syrup. The market will also feature a food truck each week alongside the live music from the concert series. A full list of vendors and the concert schedule will be posted on the market’s website and Facebook page in June.

The market will be held weekly throughout the summer unless both the concert and market are cancelled due to inclement weather. In the event of a cancellation, the market will not be held on the following Tuesday concert makeup dates, but will simply continue with the next Thursday on the schedule. Additionally, the market will serve as a pickup location for members of Fay Mountain Farm’s CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program as well as Free Living Farm. Reserved timed parking spaces will be available for both market shoppers and CSA patrons.

The Auburn Farmers’ & Cultural Market is the result of a joint effort between Pakachoag Church, the Town of Auburn, and the Auburn Cultural Council to provide Auburn residents with access to locally grown and produced food and to help shine a spotlight on local small businesses.
