One of the good things about editing hundreds of photographs is reliving the event for many hours on end. The Auburn High School production of Chicago was that type of event.
From the set to the orchestra to the actors, this was a great show, and all involved should feel very proud. Director Nick LaPete, Musical Director Ginny Bailey, Choreographer Jackie Johnson-McGerigle, Costume Designer Christine Taylor, and Tech/Lighting Director Kevin McGerigle all did an outstanding job of guiding their team to success.
The dancing was exceptional and an almost constant in this production, and credit should be given not only to Johnson-McGerigle but also to Dance Captain Bethany Paradis and principal dancers Sarah Kramer Lee, Jasmin Powers, and Bella D’Auteuil. The entire cast also danced well.
Auburn High School has certainly raised the bar for future productions, and that is good news for the community.
A reminder that students in the show can get a coupon code for 25% off by speaking to music teachers Ginny Bailey or Nick LaPete. Any order that totals $20.00 after the discount will include a free cast picture. To get the cast picture, orders have to be placed by May 15th.
