The Free Program Runs Eight Consecutive Saturdays Beginning April 27

Thanks in part to funding from the Women’s Initiative of the United Way of Central Massachusetts, the Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts offer a free program, Boss Girls, for girls in grades 6-8, running eight consecutive Saturdays beginning April 27.

BOSS (Bright, Outstandingly Strong, Self-Confident) Girls, which incorporates the Girl Scout aMAZE Journey, is an anti-bullying program aimed at increasing girls’ abilities to be leaders for peace within their communities. With role-play, writing, games, and reflection to navigate issues like peer pressure, stereotypes, gossip, and
cliques, girls work to discover their abilities to forge healthy relationships, connect to stop bullying, and take action to make change within their community.

Girls do not need to be currently registered Girl Scouts to participate in BOSS Girls. The deadline to register for the program is April 11.

Program details:
Dates: Saturdays, April 27 through June 15
Time: 11 am – 1 pm
