Back in October and on my way to a soccer game at Memorial Field, I observed the AMS field hockey team playing a Worcester team. I had some time to kill, so I watched and photographed for about half the game under the lights. I never did anything with these images until now, and that’s the type of fall it was.

Sometimes Auburn Mass Daily is able to cover a lot of events, and sometimes not. There is no newsroom. There are no sports writers or photo staff. It’s just two guys doing this part-time (allegedly) to help out the community. My pleas to the English departments at both the middle and high schools for potential writers has fallen on deaf ears, so I will put it out here.

We need some help, and we’re not looking for unpaid interns. We pay those who have contributed to AMD, and we could really use more contributors. Message us on Facebook if you’re interested and we’ll talk.

Back to field hockey. Both teams had a lot of girls, so two games were played with different squads. Auburn won one and lost the other, but it was another great evening of learning for the Rockets. Enjoy the slideshow.
