The Auburn High School Rockets will be well represented in this year’s MIAA playoffs.
The AHS boys and girls soccer teams both earned home field district games, and both play tomorrow afternoon at Auburn High. The girls will take on Gardner at 2:45pm, while the boys face Bay Path at 4:45pm. Tickets are $7 adults and $5 students (the MIAA-mandated ticket pricing for school site venues).
The girls finished their regular season at 14-4 and ranked 10th in the Telegram and Gazette Central Mass. Media Poll.
The boys finished 14-3-1 and ranked 12 in the T&G media poll.
The AHS field hockey team will travel to Algonquin for a 2:30pm game after defeating Holy Name 6-1 in their first round districts game on Wednesday. Algonquin plays home games at Memorial Field (911 field) , Acre Bridge Road,
Southborough, MA. ARHS defeated Doherty High 7-0 to advance. The field hockey team is now 13-5-1.
The football team did not qualify for districts, but has two more games left. The first, a non-playoff match against Oxford will be played at 7pm Friday, Nov. 2, at Oxford High. Then will play the traditional Thanksgiving Day game at Auburn High at 10:15am on Thanksgiving, November 22.
