The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that beginning on Monday, February 26, fuel area renovation work will be occurring at the I-90 westbound service plaza in Lee and therefore no fuel will be available to travelers for approximately 8 to 9 weeks. The work will include underground piping, tank removal and installation, replacement of the gasoline canopy and additional improvement activities.
Signage will be in place to notify drivers of this impact. This will include messages prior to the Blandford westbound service plaza that will read “Last Fuel Stop on Rte 90,” messages prior to Exit 2 on I-90 westbound that will state “No Fuel at Service Plaza,” and messages before the I-90 westbound Lee service plaza with the text “No Fuel This Service Plaza.”
Other amenities at this location including food and restrooms will continue to be available during this time.
