BOSTON – In an effort to promote manufacturing and job growth in Massachusetts, Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) has announced the launch of a website containing useful resources for residents who own or operate manufacturing businesses within the state.

“A quality manufacturing system lies at the heart of any prosperous economy,” said Senator Moore. “When manufacturing flourishes, the entire Commonwealth benefits from economic growth and job production. Working in the manufacturing sector has its own set of challenges and rewards, and this website provides a great resource to help anyone interested in growing and strengthening their business.”

The website features links to information and other resources related to business counseling and assistance, tools for workforce growth, manufacturing news, as well as a list of financial incentive programs. The user-friendly interface provides a single convenient location for entrepreneurs and current industry workers operating in Massachusetts.

The website was created by MassDevelopment, a statewide economic development and finance agency formed to “stimulate economic growth across the Commonwealth.” Within the past year, MassDevelopment has been a part of 352 projects that together created 8,200 jobs and provided an investment of more than $4 billion into the Massachusetts economy.
