A graduate of Leicester High School, Quinsigamond Community College and Worcester State, Michael worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Massachusetts General and Clinton Hospitals. A former Disc Jockey at WICN, Mike’s passions centered on his love and extensive knowledge of music, cars and his desire to care for others.
He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and worked to support Veteran causes.
Mike leaves behind his parents Francis Marley and Veda (Hutchins) Marley and sister Karen Marley Travers of Leicester, life-long friend John Murray of Auburn, his cat Bruno, many nieces, nephews and a great nephew.
Michael had never ending capacity and willingness to share his love, knowledge and time, to make life better for those around him. His life’s accomplishments are numerous and the reach of his generosity, far and wide. Michael’s career was chronicled in a book titled “Burn Unit: Saving Lives after the Flames” where he helped many burn patients while working at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. As a child, Michael suffered with severe asthma and his heroes were the respiratory therapists who cared for him. It was these heroes that inspired him to pursue a career in Respiratory Therapy.
