Auburn Police have charged four local people in connection with an incident February 6 on Main St.that left a 29 year old Auburn resident in the hospital for over three weeks with serious head injuries.
According to an APD statement posted on Facebook, after a follow-up investigation by Auburn detectives, it was determined that two males and a female went to 16 Main Street on February 6 shortly before noon to purchase heroin. At some point during this transaction, the two males took all of the heroin that the victim had and ran from the home being pursued by the victim.
The males, identified through the investigation as: Brian Downes 30, with a last known address of 5 Piedmont Street Apartment #304 Worcester and Sebastian Burke 26, of 218 Worcester Road in Charlton, jumped into a waiting vehicle being operated by Jessica Aubin 24, of 3 Douglas Street in Webster.
According to police, the victim jumped onto the hood of the car and began banging on the car windshield in an apparent attempt to stop the trio from leaving with the stolen heroin. A short distance up the road, the victim was thrown from the vehicle, sustaining three skull fractures and other head trauma.
A second female, Gabrielle Hebert 26, of 1 Filo Road in Dudley, was waiting in another vehicle nearby and drove Mr. Downes from the scene.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Burke and Downes for Larceny From a Person.
Hebert will be summoned to Worcester District Court for being an Accessory After the Fact to the Robbery.
Jessica Aubin will be summoned to Worcester District Court for Larceny from a Person, Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating an Unregistered/Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
