Robert C. Creamer, 83, died Monday, December 12, 2016 in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center.
He leaves his wife Mary R. (Thames) Creamer, three children; John Creamer and his wife Liza of Burke, Virginia, Cathryn Creamer and her husband Robert Giallombardo of Ramsey, New Jersey and Daniel Creamer of Auburn, a brother John F. Creamer, Jr. of Worcester and a sister Ann Firlings of Hyde Park, New York, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Creamer was born in Worcester, son of John F. and Dorothy (Portle) Creamer. He graduated from South High School in 1951, The College of the Holy Cross in 1955 and later obtained a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Detroit. He taught Latin in the Worcester Public School system for over 30 years at North High School, Burncoat High School and Doherty High School. After retiring he continued to teach part time at St. Peter-Marian High School for 3 years.
Robert was a diehard Crusader sports fan; he was a fixture at Holy Cross football games for decades. He was a member of St. Joseph’s parish for 51 years. He served his country in the United States Army.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Robert’s family on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 PM in BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be Friday from the funeral home with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will be at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
