State Rep. Paul K. Frost (R-Auburn) is looking for names of military servicemen and women from the towns in his district who will not be home for the holidays so he can send them a Christmas care package, an annual tradition since he took office in 1997. His district is composed of Auburn, Millbury, precincts 2 and 3 in Oxford, and precinct 4 of Charlton.

“Over the past 20 years I’ve sent these care packages to express my appreciation for the servicemen and women who cannot be home for the holidays,” Frost said. “It is a small gesture to honor their enormous commitment to our nation and freedom. It is also a way for me to express my appreciation to our armed forces to let them know they are being thought of by their community during a season they especially miss being home for. I wish to thank and acknowledge them and their families for their service to our nation and way of life, wherever they may be stationed. Christmas and the holiday season is a time for family and community and all our military men and women should be a part of our thoughts, prayers and well wishes during this joyous season.”

Packages contain candies, cookies, local newspapers and holiday greeting messages. If anyone in the district who has a loved one in the military who will not be home for the holidays, please call Rep. Frost’s office at 617-722-2489 or email by Tuesday, December 6.
