The Auburn Public Schools announces a Summer Reading Book Swap going on at APS’s central office, 5 West St., in Auburn. APS asks community members to take the opportunity to freshen up their bookshelves while supporting the youth summer reading program by participating in the swap.

Throughout the summer, students can visit the central office and swap out books they may have already read for something on their new summer reading list (give a book, take a book). APS is seeking books from the attached composite list to be either swapped or donated. This will take place throughout the summer during regular business hours at 5 West Street, which are 8 am-4 pm.

Any remaining books at the end of the summer will go back to the school libraries. The hope is that this allows for cost savings, some book recycling, and the spreading of good summer reads.

Summer reading assignments by grade can be found on the APS website.
