Phyllis L. (McDonagh) Bulman, 88, died Saturday, June 18, 2016 with family gathered by her side after a valiant 8 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Her life and the manner in which she approached her illness and death is a testament to the person so many people loved.

Her husband of 58 years, John, died in 2009. She leaves her children, Jude Bulman and his wife, Melanie of Murrells Inlet, SC, James Bulman of Arlington, VA, Ginger Daly and her husband, Timothy of Auburn, Joan Bannon and her husband, David of Hopkinton, Margaret Bulman of Newton, and Mary Maruca of Surfside Beach, SC; a sister, Claire Soulnier of Memphis, TN; also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Cathy Bulman and son-in-law, Gene Maruca.

Phyllis was born in Boston and lived in Auburn for 65 years. She graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain.

Mrs. Bulman worked at Travelers Insurance Company in Worcester for many years before retiring in 1990. Phyllis was a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish in Auburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Phyllis’s family on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A funeral Mass celebrating her life will follow at 11am in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street, Auburn. Burial will be private.
