Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester is pleased to report that Ron Floser of Flo-Dell Exteriors in Millbury donated his labor for the roof installation at 4 Homestead Avenue in Auburn. Mr. Floser was also able to have all the shingles donated for the roof.
Generous donators like Flo-Dell Exteriors save Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester thousands of dollars, which in turn allows us to build more homes for low-income families locally.
Two local families have been chosen by our Family Selection Committee to live in the duplex style home. The families, who must earn between 30 – 60% of the area’s median income, have been working hard on completing their 400 – 500 “sweat equity” hours on the home. We offer families a “hand up – not a hand out”. With access to affordable and stable homes, families are able to afford essentials for their children like food, medicine, child care, and education.
For more information on how to become involved with our home builds that help low-income families through affordable housing, please contact Deborah Huegel, Development Director, at 508-799-9259, Ext. 118 or Deborah.Huegel@habitatmwgw.org. Or visit our website at www.habitatmwgw.org.
