Her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Bombard, died in 2006.
Catherine leaves two daughters, Barbara Burton and her husband Richard Burton of Auburn, and Kathleen Farrell and her husband William Farrell of Hubbardston; six grandchildren, Ann-Marie Cochran and her husband John, Donna Keable and her husband Thomas, Michael Farrell and his wife Donna, David Farrell and his wife Elizabeth, Brian Burton and his wife Heidi, Kevin Burton and his wife Laurie; eleven great-grandchildren, Preston and Alexis Keable, Brittany Cochran, Haley and Spencer Burton, Nicholas and Jack Burton, Amelia, Victoria, and Melody Farrell, and Zachary Algieri. She was predeceased by her brother John Murphy and sister Eileen Diguette.
Catherine was born in Worcester, daughter of Patrick and Nellie Murphy. She lived in Auburn for 50 years.
Catherine was an office clerk at the former Paul Revere Life Insurance Company in Worcester for 17 years retiring in 1982.
She was a founding member of North American Martyrs Church.

There will be a calling hour, Friday, June 10, from 9 to 10:00 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, due to her long battle with Macular Degeneration that took her vision and Bob’s countless hours of service, memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind or North American Martyrs Church.
