Auburn Fastpitch Girls Softball for ages 5 to 16 is holding its 2nd Annual Clothes and Toy Drive on Saturday, December 5. Items can be dropped from 9 am to 1 pm at the Auburn High School parking lot upper / gym entrance on Auburn Street (across from I-290 on ramp).
Auburn Fastpitch Softball is asking for new toys, unwrapped and unopened, which will be donated to Auburn Youth and Family Services. AYFS will provide these toys to local children in need for Christmas.
The league is also holding a Clothes Drive. Used clothing, jackets, linens and shoes are being accepted. The clothing will be given to Clothes4Cash who will make a donation to the league which will be used to lower costs, provide hardship scholarships for children to play softball and purchase new equipment. Clothes in good condition will be donated to charities but clothes in any condition will be accepted.
Auburn Fastpitch Softball is the oldest league in town dedicated to girls youth softball. Visit www.AuburnFastpitch.com or on Facebook for more information about the league and their efforts on and off the field.
