She was born in Worcester, MA one of eleven children, daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Rivers) Cote. She graduated from South High. Doris moved to Auburn when she married her husband Don where she lived for many years before having to move to Agawam in February this year.
Doris had worked at Elm Farm Supermarket and First National as a cashier. For many years she worked at the Laundry Basket Auburn and managed the snack bar at The Auburn Ten Pin and the Thunder Bowl before retiring. She loved to bowl with her family and play bingo, in her spare time you could find her taking care of others.
Her husband Donald Moore died in 2011. She leaves two daughters, Susan Tyan and her husband, Joseph Jr. of Elgin, SC and Donna Boulay and her husband, Richard of South Windsor, CT; her siblings, Eunice Lussier, Earl Cote and his wife, Terry, Robert Cote, Amand Cote and his wife Marion; four grandchildren, Robert Tyan, Mark Tyan and his wife Stacie, Stephen Boulay and his wife Kelly, Daniel Boulay and his wife Erica; five great grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna and Jordyn Tyan, Kendal and Ava Boulay; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Doris’ family on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 6-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn.
