It’s time to get our clock back in order. The excitement of Sunday’s field hockey game put it at the top of our stories yesterday morning, and the team’s first win just got a mention on Facebook. Since Friday games also get reported on Monday morning, some things just have to take a back seat. This was true of girls soccer as well.

#1 Auburn, 18-0-0, had a bye in the preliminary round and faced #16 Northbridge, 8-7-3, in the first round on Friday night at home. Two of the Ram’s losses were to Auburn during the regular season, and this game was quite predictable. Although Northbridge put up a decent fight, the Rockets were able to put up 2 points in each half and win the game, 4-0.

Jackie Clark scored 2 goals while Hanna Harris and Kiliegh Hynes each scored 1. Harris and Jess Clifford had assists.

The girls will play #4 Quaboag in Grafton at 3:00pm in the Central District 2 Semi-Final round. Quaboag lost a single game in SWCL, and that was to Auburn.

Today’s slide show is from the Northbridge game, and the Hopedale slide show will post soon…..unless we get distracted.
