Sam Politz, a native of Louisiana, and partner Betsy Bronstein will perform traditional South Louisiana Cajun music at this free performance of Cajun Music:  Reflections of a Culture, presented by Pakachoag Music School.

Politz and Bronstein will share some interesting tidbits about the music’s origin, its history, and how Cajun music has been influenced by its cultural surroundings.  As an added treat, audience members can learn how to do Cajun two-steps and waltzes. Bronstein is an accomplished cellist. Politz is a professor at WPI.

The concert will be held on Saturday, March 24*, at 3:00 p.m. in Huntington Hall at All Saints Church / Pakachoag Music School; 10 Irving Street, Worcester.  The snow date is Sunday, March 25 at 3:00 pm.

 

The performance is free, though donations are gratefully accepted:  $20 / $5 seniors and students

A reception will follow the program.
