WESTBOROUGH – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that its vendor is installing new fuel tanks at the service plaza which is used by travelers on I-90 (the Massachusetts Turnpike) westbound in Westborough.

As a result of fuel tank removal and new tank installations, motorists will be unable to refuel with gasoline or diesel at this location for approximately four weeks. The next fueling opportunity on I-90 westbound is approximately 8 miles away.

Signage is in place to notify drivers of this impact, including, roadside messages on I-90 westbound in Framingham indicating, “No Fuel 38 Miles.”
