Auburn — The Auburn Democratic Town Committee has announced that it will host a caucus of registered Democrats in town, to elect Auburn’s Delegates and Alternates to the 2018 Democratic State Convention.
The caucus will take place at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, February 21st, at the Lorraine Gleick Nordgren Senior Center, located at 4 Goddard Drive in Auburn. Auburn will elect 8 Delegates and 4 Alternates at the caucus to represent the community at the Democratic State Convention, to be held June 1st and 2nd at the DCU Center in Worcester.
At this year’s State Convention, thousands of Democrats from across the Commonwealth will convene to endorse Democratic candidates for statewide office, including Constitutional Officers and gubernatorial candidates.
The caucus on February 21st is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats who live in Auburn. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 18 years of age by September 18, 2018 will be allowed to participate and run as a Delegate or Alternate. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a Delegate or Alternate at caucus may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or at www.massdems.org.
