On Thursday morning, the entire second grade class of Pakachoag Elementary School took buses to Brookdale’s Eddy Pond East for a choral performance. The assisted living center, formerly known as the Woods at Eddy Pond, sits on the south side of Washington St. and not far from the I-395 interchange.

Under the direction of music teacher Maria Garrow, the students sang a group of seasonal songs before delivering classic Christmas carols which the audience had eagerly awaited. About half of the facility’s 77 residents were able to attend, and they really enjoyed themselves.

Executive Director Nancy Mastrapasqua said it was a good turnout for the performance, and she related that the facility has partnered with the Auburn Public Schools on several occasions, all with a positive result.

Thank you to Pakachoag Elementary for sharing their Christmas spirit and spreading some joy.
