Locally owned and operated Live Action Escapes has pioneered a lending program for their portable escape room: The Great Party Escape. Two of these portable rooms are currently available, containing identical puzzles. Each of these games have been donated to local libraries from 4 to 8 weeks. They are currently working closely with two local libraries, and have active plans of expanding this program to other surrounding towns.

The Auburn Public Library and The Richard Sugden Public Library of Spencer, who have shown great interest in this new venture, are the first of the libraries to receive the games. There are several other libraries already scheduled to receive the portable escape games in the future.

Live Action Escapes developed the venture as a means to give back to the community, while providing local libraries with new and attractive incentives to draw in more members. With a goal to reinforce the importance of these publicly funded non-profit civil centers as a location not only for gaining information, but an accessible gathering place for local residents. Live Action Escapes hopes to share the escape room experience with more of the Central Massachusetts community, especially those who may not have the means to visit the downtown Worcester location.

The Auburn Free Public Central Library is located at 369 Southbridge Street and can be contacted at 508-832-7790. For more information and for the library’s operating hours, please visit http://www.auburnlibrary.org/.
