She was born and raised in Worcester daughter of the late Arthur and Esther (Tobin) Tenney and attended Worcester Public Schools.
Bea had worked for the David Clark Company in Worcester for many years before she retired. In her retirement years, she was delighted to be a crossing guard for the Town of Auburn.
When Bea was not working she enjoyed traveling, especially when the trips were bus trips to Atlantic City where she could roam through the casinos. Bea was an avid bingo player. She also enjoyed simple pleasures like getting her hair done every Saturday by her stylists, Michael Abdella and Deniz Tello of Nicholas Michaels Spa of Northborough. Bea loved baking her whole life and was well known for her Swedish Almond Cakes.
