Pakachoag Church is currently distributing special bags for a food drive to help Auburn Youth and Family Services provide food for local families during the holiday season. Each brown paper bag comes with a list of requested non-perishable food items, and the church will be collecting filled bags until November 13.

This project was developed by the church as a way to provide a community service activity that is accessible to people of all ages, including families who would like to involve their children in giving back to the community.

How to participate:

1)  PICK UP YOUR BAG from the Pakachoag Church table at the October 29 Auburn Farmers’ and Cultural Market or from the church office.

2)  FILL YOUR BAG with items from the recommended list. If you have children, bring them with you to the store, and encourage them to help with selecting items to place into the bag.

3)  RETURN YOUR BAG to the church. Simply drop off your filled bag at the church office by Monday, November 13, or bring it to the First Sunday Worship service on November 5 at 10:00 a.m. and help with sorting the food items for delivery to AYFS.

For questions or more information, contact the church office at 508-755-8718 or office@pakachoag.org. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
