Auburn Department of Recreation and Culture will be showing “Fever Pitch” this Friday, July 21, at the Dr. Arthur and Dr. Martha Pappas Recreation Complex. The movie night will also be a tribute to the late Dr. Arthur Pappas, so everyone is encouraged to wear their Red Sox gear!
‘Fever Pitch’ stars Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon. When Ben Wrightman (Fallon) begins dating Lindsey Meeks (Barrymore), the two don’t seem to have a lot of the same interests, but they fall in love, regardless. Their romance goes well until baseball season begins, and Lindsey soon realizes that Ben is completely obsessed with the Boston Red Sox. The movie is rated PG-13.
The movie will begin at dusk, approximately 8:30pm. The showing is free, and popcorn and water will be available to purchase. Bring blankets and chairs.
