Special Olympics Massachusetts will bring its basketball and bowling competitions to Auburn again this March 11-12. Basketball games will be held at Auburn High, while the bowling competitions are hosted at AMF-Auburn on Southbridge St.

The Recreation and Culture Department headed by Kristen Pappas has been instrumental in organizing this event for the past nine years. They also coordinate a craft and health fair in conjunction with the Special Olympics events at Auburn High.

Pappas is currently looking for volunteers at either venue on Saturday or Sunday. Individuals as well as groups are encouraged to register online at http://www.specialolympicsma.org/volunteer.

Rec and Culture is also seeking vendors for the craft fair. Space will be limited to the hallways on the first and second floors and the Presentation room.  Reservation deadline is February 24th for this event. Space will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Vendors are responsible for their own tables, chairs, etc. Rates range from $15 to $40 depending on the amount of space required, and the number of days requested.

Interested vendors can view and download the vendor contract here.
