Last Wednesday was the last game of the season for AHS Girls Hockey, but it was also senior night. Nicole Bousquet, Megan Fleming, Kelsie Lorden and Taylor Romiza all skated forward to be honored for their participation in this demanding sport. Photographs of each girl and her parent(s) are included in today’s slideshow.

Medway/Ashland proved to be a tough opponent, and the Rockets could not keep up. The Mustangs outscored Auburn 2-1 in the first period and 3-0 in the second. Each team scored 1 goal in the third, and the visitors won 6-2. Julia Siemen scored for Auburn in the first with Kate Lavoie assisting while Amalia Monson scored in the third with another Lavoie assist.

Although the Mustangs were clearly a better team, the Rockets fired early and often at their net forcing 33 saves. Colleen Fellows earned 25 saves for the home team. This was a good effort by the young Rockets who ended their season 7-12-1. The Mustangs are 10-6-5.

Good luck next year!
