On Monday, both the girls varsity and junior varsity basketball teams fell to Millbury, but there was some revenge last night as the boys won against the Woolies 54-30. Tyler Judice led the Rockets with 10 points in their second victory this season. The girls are now 5-3 and play Notre Dame away tonight.

The JV girls started off slow but kept the score tight, behind 17-13 at the half. Millbury got more aggressive in the second and outshot the Rockets, 25-13. The final was 42-26. Michaela Sampson led Auburn with 12 points while Olivia Matthews put up 7.



The varsity squad was plagued by fouls in the first quarter and racked up 6. Millbury had the lead 12-9 after one quarter and put Auburn in the bonus in the second which ended 29-10. The game ended 45-34 as Millbury withstood a hard Auburn push in the fourth quarter.

Colleen Cutting had 19 points including four 3’s and also grabbed 7 rebounds. Shannon Sampson shot 6 points including one 3. Today’s slideshows illustrate how tough the Woolies are.
