The suspect in a Friday night jewelry theft fat the Auburn Mass has turned himself into police. According to police, 18 year old Jeremy Brule of Webster stole a gold chain valued at over $3,000 from the Kay Jewelers store in the Auburn Mall on Friday, January 6.
Around 6:30pm on Friday, Police responded to the mall after a store associate reported that the suspect had asked to view the chain. While the associate showed the jewelry, Brule reportedly grabbed the chain and fled on foot through the Sears store.
Police were able to acquire surveillance footage of the suspect from Sears, and posted an image on social media. The post generated several leads, and Brule subsequently turned himself in to Auburn Police on Sunday. According to police, Brule admitted to taking the chain.
