Liz and Bill Gribbons are again asking for the Auburn community’s support as they begin their 16th annual coat drive. They are hoping to outfit over 35 local children who are on a waiting list for a new coat. The Gribbons are also known for organizing the First Day Program, which collects school supplies for over 50 deserving Auburn children.
Please see the attached press release from Liz and Bill Gribbons, and consider helping any way you can.
First, we would like to thank you for generously supporting the First Day Program in September. With your help, we were able to buy clothing, shoes and school supplies for more than 50 Auburn children.
As we do each year, we are now launching our Winter Coat Drive. For the 16th consecutive year, the winter coat drive will provide warm coats and boots to deserving children in the Auburn community. We currently have more thirty-five children on our list looking for sponsors willing to purchase a coat and/or boots.
Please call 508.832.9879 and we will provide you with information on a child (boy or girl and size), please leave your name and number if we are unable to come to the phone. Once you make your purchase, you can drop the items off at our home at 7 Sunnyside Road and we will deliver your special gift to the child.
For those who would prefer making a donation, please make checks payable to Auburn Youth and Family Services (write winter coat drive in the memo line), who will once again partner with us on this important project. Please mail your checks to 7 Sunnyside Road, Auburn, MA 01501.
Because we must match sizes, please do not make a purchase without calling first. Also, we are only accepting new items for this program. Please call today. With winter just around the corner, we hope to close out the coat drive in the next three weeks. We especially welcome the support of civic groups and town organizations who would like to contribute to this most worthy cause. With your help, we will ensure that all Auburn children will be warm this winter.
Thanks in advance for your continued generosity and support.
Liz and Bill Gribbons
