Although town hall officially closes at 1:00pm on Fridays, early voting will remain open until 4:00pm. This will be the last opportunity to vote before Tuesday’s Presidential Election. Today’s hours are 8:00am until 4:00pm.

Early voting has been very popular with Auburn voters and 2,282 had voted by Tuesday night. This represents just under 20% of the town’s 11,875 registered voters. Town Clerk Deb Gremo had previously predicted a 30% turnout for early voters, and that number will likely be met by Friday afternoon.

In the 2008 Presidential Election, 8,950 residents (78% of the 11,507 registered) cast ballots, and in 2012, 8,873 voted (75% of 11,786). The high school will still be busy on November 8th, but potentially having 3,500 less people is most welcomed.

Gremo reminds residents that early voting takes place at town hall and not the high school.
