On Tuesday morning, senior Sarah Cavanaugh signed a letter of intent for Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts. She was joined by parents Ken and Stephany, Principal Casey Handfield, Athletic Director Brian Davis, Cross Country Coach Tom Adams, Track Coach Karyn Ferdella, and Guidance Counselor Amy Sampson along with some current seniors and teammates.

Cavanaugh will be receiving an academic scholarship along with athletic scholarships in both cross-country and track. During her years at Auburn High School, she broke both school and SWCL running records and recently placed tenth in the State Division I Cross-Country Race.

Sarah’s older sister, Elise, will be a senior at Stonehill in the fall, but their time together on campus will only include one semester. Sarah plans an undecided major in the health sciences.
