Before the Swanson Road Intermediate School united all grade 3-5 students, the Town Race was a great competitive way for students from Pakachoag and Julia Bancroft to come together. Now the event is simply intraschool instead of interschool, and it is still taken very seriously. SWIS Physical Education teachers Ann Shane and Sean Dunn ran time trials for the students to determine the 20 fastest girls and 20 fastest girls, and all three grades were represented.
The results for the boys were: 1st Ryan Sullivan, 2nd Jeremiah Murphy, and 3rd Brayden Martin. For the girls: 1st Avery Carbonneau, 2nd Julia Mathews, and 3rd Alexis Nordman.
The other runners were: Nicholas Barnes, Jack Bjorkman, Alec Borelli, Riley Caruso, Ty Chauvin, Anthony Desimone, Wyatt Diamond, Cavan Gardner, James Hillis, Ryan Hunter, Tyler Kohler, Ethan Lapoer, Cameron McLaughlin, Jared Roberts, Jacob Shea, Rocco Vartabedian, Zack Wetzel, Jenna Barber, Molly Hilditch, Giuliana Fortunato, Madison Millette, Isabella Gagnon, Lexi Sens, Jenna Whitsitt, Maggie Slomski, Annika Berg, Leila Santos Diaz, Julia Rocheford, Maya Lawson, Gabrielle Erickson, Emily Hunter, Isabella Surmis, Megan Bell, and Chloe Foster.
