Sue was born in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada daughter of the late Hugh and Stella (Ivey) MacDonald. Sue married the love of her life, David O. Anderton, in 1950 and together they raised their family in New York where she was a stay at home mom. Later in her life Sue was a Teacher’s Assistant in the Liverpool Public Schools for many years.
When she moved from New York to Auburn in 1996 she became a member of the First Congregational Church and a volunteer at the Auburn Senior Center.
Her husband, David O. Anderton died in 1988. She leaves two sons, Charles Anderton and his wife, Roxane of Auburn and Paul Anderton and his wife Janice of Baldwinsville, New York; four grandchildren, Kelly Alger, Jeffrey Anderton, Mark and James Anderton. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald MacDonald.
Funeral services for Sue will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the First Congregational Church, 128 Central Street, Auburn or the Worcester County Food Bank, 474 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
