Freshmen football is part of the player development process that will lead to the next successful JV and varsity teams. The point is not wins and losses, but improvement. Additionally, they get to see the future varsity players from other schools.
The freshmen have nine games on their schedule and only four are against similarly sized high schools. They faced Tantasqua on Saturday morning and this is a big school that somehow remains in SWCL. Tantasqua has a large freshman roster that is composed of both A and B squads.
This was fun to watch even if the final results weren’t in the Rockets’ favor.
