BOSTON – Senator Michael O. Moore (D-Millbury) expressed his appreciation to Liam Gribbons of Auburn for completing a summer internship in his State House office.
“Interns provide a valuable service to my staff and constituents alike,” said Sen. Moore. “Liam is a quick learner, and I am very impressed by his hard work and eagerness to assist others. I’m sure he has learned quite a bit during his time with my office.”
Liam, the son of William and Elizabeth Gribbons, currently attends Bentley University where he majors in Public Policy and Business Studies. At Auburn High School, Liam was part of an Advanced Placement Government course that partook in a civic engagement competition known as “We The People.” Having won the state championship, Liam accompanied the Auburn team to Washington D.C. to compete at the national level.
This fall, Liam will be returning to Washington to for a semester to intern on Capitol Hill. Liam maintains an active presence in the Auburn community, helping his parents and Auburn’s Youth and Family Services with a “Back to School” Program and a Coat Drive every year.
Interns in Sen. Moore’s State House office assist with daily office operations, conduct legislative research, attend informational seminars with legislators and constitutional officers, and have a first-hand opportunity to observe the Massachusetts legislative process.
