Mother Nature has other ideas about tonight’s scheduled fireworks displays around the area.
Auburn has decided to postpone the Independence Day Celebration to the rain date, Saturday, July 2. The festivities will still begin at 5pm, and the remaining agenda stays the same, just shifted to Saturday.
Worcester also announced late yesterday afternoon that they were postponing their celebration until Saturday. The weather forecast is calling for scattered thunderstorms beginning about 3pm this afternoon, with more widespread storms and rain into the early evening hours. The forecast for Saturday and Saturday evening is near perfect.
