Maura M. (O’Neill) Bandilla, 66, of Auburn died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in the Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband, Richard J. Bandilladied in 1982. She leaves two daughters, Deana I. Bandilla of Auburn, and Darlene M. Eppenstein and her husband, Jason, of Worcester; a granddaughter, Holly M. Eppenstein; 2 sisters, Christine Alexander of Richmond, BC, Canada; and Vanda Fitter and her husband Barry, of Merstham-Redhill, Surrey, England; several cousins, nieces and nephews. A brother, Nicholas Alexander predeceased her.
Maura was born in SW St Pancras, London, England, a daughter of Constance O’Neill and Ronald Alexander. She immigrated with her parents to the United States in 1963 and attended Northboro schools.
She is a former sales associate with Bob’s Discount Furniture, and held many sales positions over a 35-year career. She was the first female automobile salesperson in the state of Massachusetts, employed by the former Chabot Motors in Millbury. She loved the ocean, her favorite places being Cape Cod, MA; Narragansett, RI; and Moody, ME. She also enjoyed gardening, bowling, DIY projects, and spending time with her friends and family.
There are no calling hours. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester, will be private. A Celebration of Life for Maura will be held on March 12th, 2016 at 12:30PM at the Marine Corps League Club in Worcester. Contributions in Maura’s memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Massachusetts. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester is assisting the family with service arrangements.
