The spring musicals at Auburn High School and Auburn Middle School have uplifted audiences and actors in recent years, and this year looks like no exception. The high school will present Seussical on April 29th and 30th at 7:00pm and will also perform a Sunday matinee at 2:00pm on May 1st. The middle school will have 7:00pm performances of Peter Pan Jr. on May 13th and 14th. All shows will be in the Auburn High School auditorium.
Directed by Kristen Forgues, Seussical is destined to see the rave reviews of recent productions Legally Blonde and Footloose. Forgues, a David Prouty graduate and long-time Auburn elementary teacher, told Auburn Mass Daily that students from both Prouty and Bay Path were invited to tryouts, and several have earned roles. With many programs at David Prouty in question during recent times, this was a nice thing to do.
Karin Graves will direct Peter Pan Jr. for the middle school, and while nobody will be flying across the stage, rehearsals are ensuring an entertaining evening. Both shows have over 40 students in their casts, and Auburn Mass Daily will provide more information as the performances approach.
